Sin is the new love

#qotd : Do you think famous people have bizarre secrets hidden inside their hearts?

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌠/🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This not so apparently psychological thriller was a much needed breakthrough through the monotonous books that I was reading from a few weeks. The name is pretty confusing and one cannot land to conclusions without reading the entire book thoroughly. There are two stories/ worlds in the book which are tightly inter twined in themselves with the pivotal point being the protagonist, Ahi. Beautifully scripted and cleverly written this book has mentioned even the slightest of the details when it came to murder and crime scenes which plays a cinematographic effect on the reader. The human emotions of love, lust, duty, pain, grief, pleasure etc come out to be very visual and tactile through the words.

Some points that I couldn’t get through we’re: I still can’t find a single family in West Bengal where girls smoking is appreciated along with her hooking up with a bit from a different religion especially if he’s a Muslim and the girl is Hindu. Samim’s character could’ve evolved a little more and leave impression on me which it didn’t. The twists we’re really appealing but the last line where Ahi where’s a hypnotic smile why would she be have her eyes glittering?

Nevertheless it was worth all the time which I had invested to read the book and would recommend everyone to read it too.
